COVID19 Update
Following the advice issued by the UK Government on March 16th in relation to COVID-19, we took the difficult decision to close our office space, cease all face to face counselling sessions, and move to operating a remote counselling service via video conferencing.
This means that all clients already on the waiting list for counselling will be contacted and offered remote counselling.
Unfortunately, due to the complexities and challenges facing us as we move to remote counselling, we are not able to accept new referrals for our general free counselling services at this time. We understand there will be many people across Bradford who are in need of counselling support, so we are working hard to reopen our waiting list and provide counselling services as soon as possible. Please do keep checking back for updates as and when they happen.
Please see our COVID Risk Assessment here
We are taking referrals for some of our other services:
- Private Fee paying counselling – cost: £42 per session. Please contact us directly
- COVID-19 Grief & Loss Project – we are currently not taking any new direct referrals at this time. Please contact us for updates. The Guideline at Mind in Bradford are still taking referrals for this project, and you can call them on 08001 884 884

For 30 years Bradford Counselling Services has supported people throughout the Bradford District to access the counselling support they need by offering therapeutic services to help individuals explore and cope with a range of emotional issues.
If something is troubling you, counselling can give you the time and space to think through and talk about how you are feeling and what might be happening to trigger those feelings. We will support people to work through all sorts of issues, but some of the more common ones are:
Depression and/or Anxiety
Exploring relationships (individually)
Bereavement and Loss
Trauma
Work related issues
Health related issues
Lack of confidence
Drug and alcohol misuse
Abusive relationships
Identity issues
We work with adults, young people and children from the age of 16 upwards, providing up to 12 sessions of counselling. Our funded services provide free counselling to people who live in Bradford District. If you are able to pay, we offer counselling through our Fast Track Service. This service is also available to organisations that want to access counselling for their clients or staff.
